Master Plastics – Leading Sustainability in Flexible Packaging

Master Plastics has successfully commissioned three new-generation flexible pouch machines at our Peninsula Packaging and Barrier Film Converters facilities.

In a powerful move that underscores our commitment to innovation and sustainability, we’re thrilled to announce the successful commissioning of three new-generation flexible pouch machines at our Peninsula Packaging and Barrier Film Converters facilities.

These cutting-edge machines are more than just a technological upgrade – they represent a significant leap forward in our approach to sustainable packaging. With advanced features that include the ability to produce complex pouch formats with zippers, spouts, inserts, and custom features, we’re poised to meet the diverse and evolving needs of modern brands.

Most impressively, these new machines are fully optimised to process the latest generation of recyclable and environmentally friendly materials, making sustainable packaging more accessible to the South African market than ever before.

A Strategic Investment

This investment underpins our commitment to a broader, sustainability strategy, including these innovative production processes:

✅ Our patented, in-house developed and produced range of recyclable films, now with a post-consumer recycled content

✅ Environmentally friendly printing and decorating technologies, including Extended Colour Gamut (ECG) for reduced ink waste, faster changeovers, reduced lead times and minimum order quantities

✅ Water-based inks that lower VOC emissions and reduce environmental impact

Empowering Brands with Smarter Packaging Choices

In today’s fast-changing landscape, brands face increasing pressure from consumers demanding sustainability, retailers electing to meet consumer standards, and tightening global regulations. This is all with the aim of delivering packaging that aligns with global sustainability goals. At Master Plastics, we’re rising to meet that challenge head-on.

Thanks to our unique production processes, we offer a vertically integrated model and future-ready technology for end-to-end packaging solutions that combine visual appeal, product protection, and supply chain efficiency – all without compromise.
